I’m not really sure if I’m the kind of person who needs to join a coaching course, how do I figure this out?

I’ll let one of my clients answer that: "I signed up for coaching because I felt I had settled into a life that was good enough, but that did not excite or inspire me – it all felt a bit blah. The weekly sessions and the assignments have really helped me realise that there are things I can change to enjoy life more, but also that I don’t have to do those things I thought I should do. I didn’t really know how a group coaching course would work, but I found it really nice to have the support of [...]

I’m not sure I can afford the course.

Think about all the things you’ve used to try and feel better: a holiday somewhere hot and sunny, a new car, a spur-of-the-moment shopping spree, a takeaway every Friday night—the list goes on and on. While they look good and shiny on the surface, they’re all an attempt to feel a certain way—to feel better about who the hell we are and the life we’re living. Yet people are scared to pay for coaching, likely because coaching is such an incredibly brave and courageous thing to do. It’s saying, “I’ve had enough of this.” It’s proclaiming, “I’m determined to make [...]

Are you going to make me do scary things I don’t want to do?

No. That’s not my style, I promise. If you don’t want to do something, then that’s your decision. I do, however, encourage the people I work with to take an honest, serious look at what they say they want to do (leave their job, start a new business, eat healthier, make a change) and why it’s not happening. If you’re miserable 5 days a week, sitting at the desk of your mundane 9-5, and yet you’re resistant to even slightly considering changing things up, then, yes, you can bet your bottom dollar I am going to encourage you to do [...]

Will we be talking about my past?

Nope. This is not Freudian psychoanalysis. No lying on a chaise longue and re-living your childhood here, my friend. We might touch on some subjects that are definitely rooted in your past, but we won’t linger there and spend the entire 6 weeks analysing it all.

How is your course different than other coaching courses?

Most courses are goal focused, they’re a “here’s what you need to do, now go and do it” format. The truth is, we can Google how to change our life, someone out there has already done exactly what you want to do and you can follow their steps. Thing is: You’re not doing it. You're not taking the steps. And there’s a reason for it. This course digs in and finds that reason.

I’m a total technophobe! How do the calls work?

Fear not, my technophobe friend. Most people have the same worry, and luckily, Skype is very simple to use, and best of all, it’s FREE! If you already have a Skype account, this article here is really useful and easy to follow, especially if you’re a bit rusty. If you don’t have a Skype account, or you’re wondering what the bugger Skype even is, have a read through this article. You can also email me and I can walk you through everything.

What if I’m a hardcore introvert who doesn’t like to talk in front of others?

You don’t have to say a word—unless you want to. At the end of each call, there’ll be time to ask questions. I’ll bring years of experience of working with people who want to bumble less and do more. I know what it’s like to feel stuck and frustrated and apathetic. Because I’ve been there. There’s no judging. No woo-woo talk or weird and questionable hippy stuff. It’s all about looking into your brain, exploring what holds you back most, and figure out why the heck you don’t do the things that matter most to you.
